The Old Rectory, Rame, is the home of Rame Head Apple Juice and Cider. Originally a small house, the Old Rectory was expanded by the early Georgians into a grand residence and later extended in Victorian times to include a meeting hall and additional bedrooms.

Since 2010, we’ve focused on sustainable living, using solar PV, solar thermal, and biomass energy to run the site efficiently.

Church View Cottage at The Old Rectory, Rame, Cornwall, offers self-catering accommodation for up to six. This beautiful house is surrounded by scenic coastal and countryside walks near Cornwall's Rame Head and just a couple of minutes walk from the South West Coast Path.

Noel's Room is a beautiful ground floor double ensuite room, sleeps two, attached to The Old Rectory, but with its own front door.  It's very popular with coast path walkers, along with wedding guests and people just requiring a room in the area for one night or more.

Our orchard has 250 apple trees producing juice, cider and cider vinegar.

When we arrived at The Old Rectory in Rame in 2010 there was already a small, young orchard of 17 trees, fruiting well.  We also had an empty field!  

So three years later, after meeting with nurseryman John Worle, a specialist in apple trees, we took budwood cuttings from our original trees, sent them up to John in Herefordshire where he grafted the cuttings on to rootstock and one year later supplied us with 223 "maiden" apple trees.  

All the trees have survived and seem to be thriving.
